Act two wraps up with another giant battle, this time as Wolverine and Captain America fending off a Weapon Plus Bear, before taking their leads and heading off deep into the Swiss Alps following their next lead. I think coming into this book with some of the wider history behind the Weapon Plus program definitely helps, but the chalkboard outline of all the different experiments is a clever way to help new comers who are curious along, if you have access to a Google search you’ll be caught up quickly. The coordinates take Wolvie and Cap to a seemingly defunct Weapon Plus lab, complete with what looks like abandoned experiments, with a listing of the history of the Weapon Plus program available for all to see. Billy is at first a sweet kid obsessed with Captain America, seemingly on the right path to an honest living, however he eventually becomes overtaken with becoming exactly like Cap, serum and all, that he winds up going to dastardly lengths to get what he wants. The meat and cheese of the dialogue boils down to the Weapon Plus program/facility, the one responsible for creating Wolverine (Weapon X) and Phantom X (Weapon XIII), is back … or really should we be saying, “have they ever really left?” Ethan Saks kicks the issue off in an intriguing way really getting me invested in the first act of this story and the art which is initially very eye catching with some creative panel layouts sets the tone nicely.Īs Cap and Logan head off to investigate some leads the story begins to be inter-cut with some flashback scenes to a character named Billy Junger. After the two heroes conduct a brief team-up ,to battle the common threat who also bare the face of Cap himself, a holographic vision of Phantom X pops up to give the story’s exposition and introduce us to the threat at hand. The issue begins with Captain America and Wolverine, seemingly at random, bumping into each other in their adventures across the Marvel landscape. This series specifically, based on a quick glance of the cover art, seems to want to connect the Captain America and Wolverine’s ‘origins’ so lets see whats cooking. I really have no idea how they keep their medical license, but here we are once again, set to revisit the programs connections to various heroes and villains. The Weapon Plus program is responsible for a lot of shenanigans in the Marvel Universe. Art Team: Diogenes Neves, Adriano DiBenedetto, Frederico Blee, VC’s Joe Sabino

Night Queen has a chance to Charm party members, which may lead to them casting a full-heal spell on the boss. The third turn of Moonless Gown is also a good opportunity to use Mind or Power Charge. Don't bother with attacking Nyx Avatar during Moonless Gown as it is impervious to attacks. During this time, the boss tends to buff itself, giving the party a chance to safely heal, buff, or debuff, as well (to do this in the non- Portable versions of the game, temporarily change tactics to Heal/Support and then change back once Moonless Gown is over). Each phase change will alter Nyx Avatar's affinities and attacks, so scan after every shift to let your allies know of its new resistances.ĭuring the final phase, Nyx Avatar will start casting Moonless Gown, which lasts for three turn cycles the turn in which it was cast, the following turn, and will drop it after that. Arcana Shift is used in between each phase (regardless of turn order), after its current HP pool has been depleted. Each Arcana has 1,500 HP each, except for the final Death Arcana which has 6,000 HP (meaning it has 25,500 HP in total). The fight consists of 14 different phases, based on its Arcana. Striking Nyx Avatar with a critical hit will confer no benefit aside from additional damage, removing the possibility of All-Out Attacks. Nyx Avatar can attack twice each turn (more if its attacks exploit a weakness or strike for critical). As with every boss in the game, Light and Dark attacks are blocked. As such, conserving items until its final stages is recommended. However, it is also a long boss battle depending on the player and their progress, it may take as long as an hour. Nyx Avatar is the final boss of the game, as such, players can go liberal with all of the items they have. While the Death Arcana represents transition, change, regeneration, and cycles, the inverse Death Arcana represents stillness, stagnation, death and the end of things. Like the Shadow Arcana, Nyx Avatar represents the inverse interpretation of the Death Arcana. It flies up the sky and summons Nyx anyway, prompting the protagonist to face Nyx alone and then seal it by sacrificing their life force. Once it is defeated, it displays that its fall is irrelevant to Nyx's descent to wipe out all humanity. Night Queen deals heavy damage to all opponents, inflicting a myriad of random status effects on the party. Moonless Gown reflects all attacks, including Almighty skills. During the final phase, it begins to use two unique skills when its HP goes under a certain threshold - Moonless Gown and Night Queen. Each Arcana is considered a separate enemy, allowing the Avatar to have a grand total of 14 phases. In battle, it harnesses a total of 14 Arcana - from the Fool to its true Arcana, Death. Its hairdo is similar to Ryoji's, although its face is now a white mask, and the eyes and mouth of the mask are of a hollow black and presents itself with a blank, frightening smile. Its sword is abnormally long and is around the same height as the Nyx Avatar itself. It wears a crown that has a very narrow base and resembles a bowl with 4 broad tips protruding from it. Its legs are very slender and point tipped, and it also has four large wings that are on the same level as its hips. It is extremely tall and is likely taller than Arcana Priestess standing up. It is a slender and intimidating figure that wears a black, cape like armor by the waist, which has a pair of extremely long tips protruding from it from both sides. Death is the incarnation of the Arcana that was never meant to be, and because it went through so many changes, Nyx can be recognized as any one of the following entities: Death ( Thanatos), Ryoji Mochizuki, Pharos, and Nyx Avatar. Before becoming the Avatar it was known as Death (or " Thanatos, the bringer of death"), The Appraiser and the harbinger of the Fall. Nyx Avatar is the final boss of Persona 3, fought by SEES. You may be driving along the island and be in a rainstorm one minute and in bright sun the next. The best thing about Hawaii's weather is that it is very localized. Travelers can additionally view more information about each island: Kauai | Oahu | Maui | Big Island Temperatures are provided in Fahrenheit and Precipitation in Inches. Weather conditions can change dramatically within Hawaii and on each island due to the diverse topography, changes in elevation, the trade winds, and other unique island conditions. These airports collectively provide a solid statewide estimate of weather conditions, but should not be taken as a "whole-island" forecast. *Climate Notes: Weather and Climate numbers are aggregated from trusted weather sources providing the monthly temperature and precipitation figures for each island's primary airport. There may be intermittent brief showers, but don’t assume your vacation will be a total washout! We want to caution you, however, that some weather reports often say it’s going to rain every day- this is usually not the case, so don’t be alarmed. As always, be sure to check local weather reports for the area you’ll be visiting for daily and hourly updates. In this article, we'll go over some of the most common visitor concerns about Hawaii's weather so you'll get a general idea of what to expect. Sounds pretty wet right? But lest we forget that just a few southwest of the wettest spot on earth, the area of Kekaha on Kauai receives only 15-25" (40-60 cm) of rain a year quite the contrast! Don't let the wet locations and/or cities fool you, it can be plenty dry in Hawaii on the Leeward side of the islands. Kauai is home to what is arguably the wettest spot on earth at Wai'ale'ale (around 470" annually), while Hilo, on the Big Island, is the wettest city in the United States (approximately 140" annually). The Big Island alone has nearly all of the world's climate zones. One minute it's raining and the next the sun's out - welcome to the tropics! Keep in mind that the weather is diverse here because the topography is also diverse. Forecasting the weather on Hawaii can be both daunting and confusing to visitors - this isn't the mainland, and the climate takes some getting used to. Hawaii weather is about as sporadic as it gets. While it's always going to be close to impossible to predict the weather months or even weeks ahead of your vacation, it’s helpful to look at Hawaiian weather trends to get an idea of what to expect before you travel to Hawaii. Since hail can cause the rainfall estimates to be higher than what is actually occurring, steps are taken to prevent these high dBZ values from being converted to rainfall.Hawaii Weather Current Forecasts & Climate Patterns in Hawaii Hail is a good reflector of energy and will return very high dBZ values. These values are estimates of the rainfall per hour, updated each volume scan, with rainfall accumulated over time. Depending on the type of weather occurring and the area of the U.S., forecasters use a set of rainrates which are associated to the dBZ values. The higher the dBZ, the stronger the rainrate. Typically, light rain is occurring when the dBZ value reaches 20. The scale of dBZ values is also related to the intensity of rainfall. The value of the dBZ depends upon the mode the radar is in at the time the image was created. Notice the color on each scale remains the same in both operational modes, only the values change. The other scale (near left) represents dBZ values when the radar is in precipitation mode (dBZ values from 5 to 75). One scale (far left) represents dBZ values when the radar is in clear air mode (dBZ values from -28 to +28). Each reflectivity image you see includes one of two color scales. The dBZ values increase as the strength of the signal returned to the radar increases. So, a more convenient number for calculations and comparison, a decibel (or logarithmic) scale (dBZ), is used. Reflectivity (designated by the letter Z) covers a wide range of signals (from very weak to very strong). "Reflectivity" is the amount of transmitted power returned to the radar receiver. The colors are the different echo intensities (reflectivity) measured in dBZ (decibels of Z) during each elevation scan. 11/14/2023 0 Comments Finding dory silly putty recipeDory decides not to go through the pipes, vowing instead to travel with Hank as she thinks she'll get herself lost without company.ĭory and Hank use a baby stroller to find the Open Ocean Exhibit, but Dory's interest in the world's most powerful glasses causes them to fall into a touching tank, where Hank shows his fear of being touched by humans. Hank takes her through the building, but Dory sees a bucket labeled Destiny and causes herself to fall into a bucket of fish food for Destiny, a near-sighted whale shark, who tells her she's from the Open Ocean exhibit, and how to get there through the pipes. He decides to help Dory find her family as long as she gives her tag in return. To do so, all he needs is a tag, which Dory has. Hank first appears in the film in Dory's tank room in the Marine Life Institute, planning to escape into Quarantine so he can live a life of solitude in Cleveland. In spite of his pragmatic behavior in planning to live at a permanent aquarium at Cleveland, Hank learned to adapt living in the ocean, learning that he can experience more life at the ocean than living in an aquarium as shown at the end of the film. Later, as shown on one of the digital signages at the Opean Ocean area, Hank has three hearts, just like octopuses in real life have. As an octopus, Hank unleashes ink whenever exaggerated, as shown during the part where several children attempt to touch Dory and Hank at the touch pool exhibit at the Kid Zone area, just like what octopuses do in real life when threatened by predators. In spite of his temper towards Dory about her delaying tactics in a plan to find her parents before the truck leaves the Marine Life Institute to arrive at Cleveland, he still shows care towards her. As a master of disguise, Hank uses the ability of camouflage, which octopuses use in real life to confuse their predators. Hank is described as a seven-tentacled octopus (dubbed "septopus"), due to him losing his tentacle at one point. Hank is after one thing - a ticket on a transport truck to a cozy Cleveland facility where he’ll be able to enjoy a peaceful life of solitude. But make no mistake: he’s not looking for a friend. An accomplished escape artist with camouflaging capabilities to boot, Hank is the first to greet Dory when she finds herself in the Marine Life Institute. But Hank is just as competent as his eight-armed peers. Actually, he’s a ‘septopus:’ he lost a tentacle - along with his sense of humor - somewhere along the way. The kids had fun bouncing and cutting and squishing the silly putty, but were disappointed to see that it wouldn’t make prints like the store bought kind does. We decided to let it sit for a little bit and then after about 10 minutes we tried kneading it again. Once it thickened we then kneaded it for 5 minutes–which is a lot longer than it seems–but we weren’t happy with the consistency. We mixed it together with a wooden spoon. We started with 4 oz of glue and blue food coloring. The basic silly putty recipe is 2 parts glue and 1 part liquid starch. Our first version didn’t turn out very silly putty-ish even though we used a recipe we’ve used many time before. Making silly putty turned out to be a great way to practice thinking like a scientist and using our problem solving skills. It was a great way to extend their learning and play! We decided to make some homemade silly putty using items we already had at home. Then flush out the ears with lukewarm water to remove any remaining earwax. To use hydrogen peroxide 3%, fill the affected ear(s) and leave in place for 15 to 30 minutes. It foams and bubbles, which loosens and softens the wax. It works in the same way as carbamide peroxide. But it can also be used to remove earwax. Hydrogen peroxide 3% is commonly used on the skin to clean cuts and scrapes. It should only be used by people 13 years and older, unless otherwise instructed by a healthcare provider. This medication can be used twice daily for 3 days, up to twice a month. Then, flush the ears with lukewarm water. However, the specific instructions for use for NeilMed Kyrosol are to place 10 to 20 drops in the ears and leave them in place with cotton or ear plugs for 20 minutes. These products can be used for 3 to 14 days at home. In general, sodium bicarbonate earwax products can be used by filling the affected ear with 2 to 3 mL of drops, then flushing the ears out after 15 to 30 minutes. Glycerin and sodium bicarbonate both work by softening the earwax. Instead, it contains glycerin and sodium bicarbonate. NeilMed Kyrosol earwax removal kit is peroxide-free. According to the labeling, you can use it up to twice a week, unless your healthcare provider has instructed you otherwise. The instructions for this product say to use 10 drops and leave them in the ears for 10 minutes. It also includes a can of saline spray for rinsing the ears. The kit includes ear plugs, which can be used to keep the drops inside the ear during treatment. This product comes as a kit with some additional tools to help remove earwax. NeilMed ClearCanal is another carbamide peroxide 6.5% product, which works the same way as the previously mentioned earwax removal drops. Be sure to read the instructions before attempting to use the tool, because placing objects inside the ear can be risky. This product includes an ear cleaning tool, which comes with special instructions. So it’s used similarly to the other carbamide peroxide products. ClinereĬlinere contains carbamide peroxide 6.5%, as well. And many Murine products include the ear bulb syringe for flushing the ear with water. It also has the same instructions for use. So it works the same way as Debrox to remove earwax. Murine also contains carbamide peroxide 6.5%. Ask your child’s healthcare provider before using these drops if they’re under 12 years old. Keep your head tilted or place cotton in your ear to keep the drops inside for several minutes. Tilt your head sideways when applying the drops. To use Debrox, place 5 to 10 drops in the affected ear(s) twice daily for up to 4 days. This is an option if you don’t think all the wax was removed after using the ear drops. Some Debrox products include a rubber bulb syringe for flushing the ears with warm water after using the drops. Once the earwax is loosened, it should drain out of the ear on its own. This medication causes foaming by releasing oxygen once inside the ear. Debroxĭebrox contains carbamide peroxide 6.5%. Read on to find out some specifics about six common products. And some products include special tools to help remove earwax. The directions might differ slightly between brands. However, there are multiple brand names, and each might have different inactive ingredients. Most OTC earwax removal products contain the same medication and work the same way. What OTC medications are available for earwax removal? Be sure to read the label or ask your healthcare provider or pharmacist for help using your OTC earwax removal drops. Each product may have different instructions for use. Some products include earwax removal drops and a bulb or syringe to help flush the ears with water after treatment. Yes, there are some OTC products that can help remove earwax. You may be asking yourself if there are safe and effective ways to remove earwax over-the-counter (OTC). And some methods, like using a Q-tip, aren’t considered safe. In fact, an earwax blockage is often the culprit when it comes to hearing loss. If you have an earache, a feeling that your ear is blocked, or hearing loss, it may be due to hardened earwax. Some people are more likely to have dry earwax, which can cause blockages ( earwax impaction). But, sometimes earwax can build up and cause problems. Some earwax is necessary to help protect the ear canal and keep dust and bacteria from entering the ears. Your ears usually do a pretty good job of removing excess earwax on their own. 11/14/2023 0 Comments Revolve jobs nycOne of the sponsors of the show was Buick. television shows to portray working-class married couples in a gritty, non-idyllic manner, as the show is mostly set in the Kramdens' kitchen in a neglected Brooklyn apartment building. For this reason, they don't show red notification badges like normal apps. Custom icons don't show notification badges: Customized app icons act as a shortcut to the original app.If you have a lot of apps, this could take hours. It's time-consuming: For every app icon you want to change, you need to create a new shortcut in the Shortcuts app, then add it to your Home Screen and hide the original app.If that doesn't work, the game in question may need a few extra options, which you can learn about in Cursor Lock's video tutorial. There are a few important points you need to know before you customize the app icons on your iPhone Home Screen: It'll create a new shortcut for you-when you launch the game from that shortcut, your cursor should stay "locked" to the game window unless you Alt+Tab out of it. Start the program, check the Open Program box, and then enter the path to the game's EXE file. Thankfully, one enterprising developer set out to fix this problem with a tool called Cursor Lock, and in my experience, it works beautifully. I've had this happen with multiple titles, including The Witcher, Doom, and Metro: Last Light. Most games can work this way without hiccups, but you may find that in some cases, your cursor can "drift" onto the other monitor while you're still in-game. You can, however, game on one monitor while having a walkthrough, chat window, or GPU monitor up on the other, which is quite useful. While triple monitors allow you to span the game across all your displays-using the Nvidia Surround or AMD Eyefininity settings-dual monitors don't work as well for super-wide gaming, since your crosshair would be right on the monitor bezels. Most of these shortcuts work when you only have one monitor, too, but the more monitors you add, the more useful they become. You can press it again to bring all the windows back. Win+Home: Minimize all windows except the one you're working on, to banish distractions. Shift+Win+Up: Maximize the window vertically-particularly useful if you don't have a taskbar on your secondary display. Shift+Win+Left and Shift+Win+Right: move the active window to the next monitor, without snapping it to the edge. If the window is currently snapped, this will also resize the window from its snapped position. Win+Up and Win+Down: maximize or minimize the current window. You can press the keys again to move it between monitors, or snap it back to its original location. Win+Left and Win+Right: snap the active window to the left or right side of the current monitor. That's why Windows 10 has a few shortcuts that can help, including: And while you can always drag your windows around and resize them with the mouse, that's arduous and time consuming. The beauty of multiple monitors-especially when compared with ultrawide and superwide monitors-is the ability to "dock" windows to the edges of each display, making it easy to view tons of windows at once. Once you're done tweaking all these settings, your monitors should match up much more closely, making it easier and more pleasant to move windows between them. (An app like ClickMonitorDDC can make this a little easier, if your monitor supports software controls). If you want to go even further, you can use each monitors' built-in settings to adjust brightness and color to make them match as closely as possible. (If you want to set up a monitor in portrait mode, you can do that here too). So, if one monitor is 4K and the other is 1080p, you can set each monitor to its native resolution but increase the scaling on the higher-resolution one, so your windows appear the same size on each. Scroll down to the Scale and layout section to adjust the resolution of each monitor and its scaling. You may have to do a little trial and error to get them lined up properly. That way, when you move your cursor to the left, it'll appear in the same spot on the left monitor rather than jump up or down on the screen. Under Select and rearrange displays, click and drag the rectangles around so they match the monitors' orientation on your desktop say, if one is slightly lower than the other. This will produce some weird behaviors, but they're easy to fix: just right-click the desktop and choose Display Settings. For example, maybe you're plugging your laptop into an external display and using them side-by-side, or maybe you have one 4K monitor next to a 1080p monitor. If you have two different monitors, however, you may need to do a bit more work to make them play nicely with each other. Just adjust each monitor's stand so they line up perfectly, and you're off to the races. If your monitors are the same make and model, you can probably skip this section-once you plug them both in, Windows should automatically extend your desktop horizontally. If so, what alternatives to conventional drywall do you recommend?" a Q&A answered by Mary Cordaro. I would also use it in finished basements in mixed humidity climates. In my experience, you do not need to use paperless drywall throughout the bathroom as long as you use it on walls/ceilings in the immediate vicinity of the tub or shower. Paperless drywall holds up to water much better than traditional drywall with a paper surface. You can reduce the differences in overall texture by avoiding paints with a high-gloss surface.Areas finished with compound (nails/screws or corner beads) are smoother than the paperless drywall surface because the drywall surface has a slight stippling. It does look different if you are within 6 feet of the surface. Installation and finishing is similar to traditional drywall. Take a look on this page to see our inventory under the USG Sheetrock and Fiberock brand. It is also ideal when used behind exterior finishes such as thin brick, stucco, and manufactured stone. I saw an ad about paperless drywall which, according to the ad, prevents mold from growing. Thats why they turn to USG and our mold-resistant gypsum panels. This purple drywall can be used in countertops, showers, backsplashes, and tubs. It can be used anywhere moisture levels are high. Hi, Were building a workshop/garage and planning a bathroom remodel as well.An all-purpose drywall compound works for all three layers. After this dries, it needs a second and a third coat of mud to smooth it out and hide the tape entirely. Paperless drywall is mold resistant, but not mold proof. Once you’ve hung your drywall, go over every joint using drywall compound or mud, followed by tape.Rather than having a paper covering on the surface of the drywall, fiberglass matting is used. This type of drywall works well for high-humidity and moisture-prone areas, like bathrooms and kitchens. While other drywall types may have a paper layer, paperless drywall has fiberglass over the core to better protect it from moisture and humidity. Paperless drywall is very similar to traditional drywall. Paperless Paperless drywall costs 22 to 35 per 8-foot-tall drywall panel. 11/13/2023 0 Comments Princess and frog dig a little deeperHowever, there has been recent controversy about whether or not Tiana’s race was a major step forward by Disney to embracing other cultures. I think that most of us were pretty excited when we heard that Disney would be featuring an African-American princess in the Princess and the Frog. We cannot conceive that Disney portrays racist views in the movie because we only see that Tiana is the first black princess. If little girls follow the example of Lottie in the movie, they will only learn to care for their friends on superficial levels and be convinced that in order to be as amazing as a princess, they need to focus on material possessions and marriage above all else. Even though Lottie and Tiana are best friends, and there is no animosity between them, Lottie is still clearly caught up with finding a man instead of supporting Tiana during her struggles to earn enough money to buy her restaurant. If she went a few days without wearing expensive dresses, she could definitely afford to give Tiana enough money to start the restaurant she’d been dreaming about for years. By the end of the movie, Lottie does try to help Tiana find true love, but she never helped Tiana before to fulfill her dream of owning a restaurant. In reality, Lottie is an extremely shallow character. However, despite the qualities that make little girls want to become Lottie, they should not view her as a role model. Little Lottie clearly encompasses all of the outwardly princess-like qualities that little girls adore: fancy castles, pretty, pink, puffy dresses, servants, and tiaras, just to name a few.
